Default whay is " XD" ?
Can somebody explain to me why my '90 Cherokee Laredo has on the sticker XD marking, instead of XJ ? I showed it to mechanic at dealership, and he made big eyes, saying he never have seen such a marking.

they actually never had XJ on them from the factory either

Pretty sure it is not stock. XD is a laughing face, a line of pistols, a brand of rims and so many other things... Probably something the PO threw on there.

I assume the sticker is under the hood on the firewall.
My '89 is marked "XF"

Hi Bmoney - yes, it is indeed a sticker, actually a factory label on the driver side of the firewall. You got XF ? Seems like I am not crazy after all, but Chrysler. Still a mystery...

My 87 XJ has XA on that label, my 90 XJ and the 89 MJ both have XD. I have no idea what that means though lol

Is it possible its the paint code? I'd have to look at my 97 but there is a plackard on it and there are letters that identify the paint

My 87 and 90 are the same color with a different code there, my 89 and 90 have that same code and completely different colors. So I don't believe its the paint code.
