2001 4.0 4x4 3" RC lift on 235's averaging 15 mpg's with mixed driving. I just fixed all the vacuum leaks and last tank was majority city driving and I averaged 16. Before the leaks were fixed I was getting 14 when I did all that city driving. I hope to continue to see improvement.

We have 5 XJ's in the family. I try and keep them all the same. All have BF all terrain 235/75R15 tires, ss exhaust, cold air intake, all get trans service at the same place, all get champion plugs. (anyway ,you get the picture.). The mileage varies but they all get about 16 city 18 highway excpt my wire's 01 which will get 20-21 on the highway pulling a small trailer 60-65. If I were to give anyone suggestions based upon my own experience, use champion plugs(no more than 10,000 miles between changes) get a trans service every 20,000 miles oil changes every 1500-2000 miles with one quart MMO added. also 40 psi in the tires.

98 Cherokee Sport 4.0 140,000 miles or so - No mods whatsoever.
I get about 10-11 in the city, buts its really CITY. about 10 stop signs per mile in philly, so theres no real way to get good city mpgs here.
On the highway, I get about 19 mpgs at 55 and about 15 @ 75
(I put both because i can either go 55 or 75, because anything in between makes my jeep have a seizure (Death Wobble) lol. (working on that now).
Plus i have **** tires, bad alignment, burnt trans fluid (currently doing drain and fill), plus i think the last owner but cheap plugs when he did a tune up, so after i take care of all of these things, i'm sure it will be better.
I already get better Mpgs than my old sebring and my old thunderbird, so hey, im not complaining

1997 Cherokee Country. 165k miles. Well maintained and synthetic fluids
4X4, 4.0, AW4 auto, part time case. Stock suspension and tires.
Just did a 3000 mile trip to Oregon from California. On crappy CA gas and the crappier E10 in Oregon I averaged 18.7 for the trip. Lots of highway, lots of hills and 70 - 75 MPH when I could. I have occasionally seen over 20 MPG on highway trips with the cruise set at 65 MPH.
Never did a tank that would represent all city driving so I have no idea. Probably 15 MPG or less

i can go around 300-320 miles on one tank of gas and about 17 gallons to fill it back up sometimes a little more but thats the norm... im sure when i put 31 on it will loose a little mpg i also dont go over 65 on the freeway at all .. usually keep it between 60 and 65
