1998 Sport 4.0L 5spd, all stock. I get pretty good mileage on the hwy 22-25, 22 if i'm doing 75 and 25 if I'm doing 60-65. When I bought the jeep in oct from someone in the city of Chicago the computer said like 17.6mpg. I've reset the computer and do about a 50/50 mix city/highway and my computer reads 22.1 now. I've check the computer everytime I fill up agaist miles drive vs. fuel used and it is fairly accurate. I think the 5spd helps out a bit though

Here is my one way MPG to work...

I'm averaging 20 for the few months I have owned the Jeep. Hope to touch high 20s in the summertime on the highway.
1997 4.0 Auto with 3.55 and 168K miles...all stock for now.

I got 21highway on 1st half of a road trip, changed my oil from 10-30 to 5-30 for winter, then got 18-19 with same if not slower driving :^/
* edit: Oh yeah, I had my front propellor shaft out for the first leg. That explains it!

I'm at an average of 17.3 city. The clock reads almost 294K on a '01 limited 2wd. I get 260 miles while filling the tank with 15 gallons. I don't take it on any highways back a forth to work so I have no avg for that. I am going to install a slightly bigger tire now that I lifted her so my city avg may drop.
My 1999 Sport, 188k, with 4.5" lift, 31" Mickey Thompson Baja Claws, CAI, TBS, Dynomax Super Turbo Muffler, Accel ignition....I get 13mpg average around town, can maybe break 15mpg on the highway, and I dont drive super aggresive either.
