I was crossing a river this weekend and it got a little deep water got in the cabin on the drivers side, I was wondering what the little black box that is under the drivers seat.

That's so cool that in Colombia/Venezuela the XJs come with f/r D44s. I've never seen an XJ when I go to Medellin.

About your topic, the air bag modulator is under the center console, unless it was different for South American countries? Do you have power seats?

 

It's the ABS module. There was a recall to move the module under the center console.
At least that's what I gathered from a little reading. I'm no expert though.

 

why do you think they are the stock axles?

 

I'm going to have to take it apart and dry it.
yes they are the factory stock axles, they also come with the heavy duty brakes and cooling what is called in the states the "police package"
I dont have ABS brake or power seats

 

Because I am from South America and I know that they come stock over there, all upgraded.

Made in Venezuela, that Jeep looks really nice. I've never seen it around Colombia when I have been there. I guess it has not been to Medellin?

your right never been to the beautiful city of Medellin (I just got here seven months ago) but I will be in Medellin by the end of the year. I plan on taking the kids to the Christmas light show.

 

The light show is AWESOME! Definitely great for the family. You'll like Medellin. My Dad runs part of a Rally/Off Road club there. He has an FJ80 though.

I hopefully plan on going for Christmas also, so that would be nice to see a Cherokee there!
