Default Whats this noise? Blown Tranny?

Ok so i've been driving in 4wd since i havent had my sye yet, so no rear driveshaft, since i put in the adjustable control arms it threw off my pinion angle, i have been havent loud whining and today it would like slip out of gear. Then finally on the way to my friends house to install my sye, it did it real loud, like it grinded and kept grinding till i put it neutral, then i tried to put it back into drive and same thing, couldnt move, so he towed me to his place, didnt grind in neutral while being pulled. So what you all think, front differential, tranny, driveshaft u joints or slip yoke, or transfer case?

when you put it back in drive and couldnt move, when you tried to go, did it rev up like it was in nuetral, or did it feel like it was trying to go, but was under a load??

ok so yesterday i took both driveshafts off it and started the jeep up, put it in gear and no grinding, so i should be safe from any tranny issues? And the fact no noise was heard from the front pumpkin when i was being towed maybe theres nothign with that, maybe the transfer case slipped out of gear?

Probably the TC. 6.5" can mess with the linkage and what not to cause it to slip out.

I wouldnt be driving mine around town in 4wd though...
