I got mine at Rock Auto. I think shipped, it cheaper than Advance.

Since you got good answers above.. I named mine Bumpy and Lumpy. They act like they're going to support the hatch, but as soon as I ain't lookin' BAM! right on the ol' noggin. Been meaning to replace 'em just so I can abuse the old ones with a torch and a pair of pliers
I put new ones on my daughters' hood because they wouldn't even pretend to support the hood, at all. The first time I unlatched the hood, as soon as i started to lift it, it sprung up like a (expletive deleted) cobra and almost got me on the chin. I wasn't expectin' that! I think they don't like me.

Go with Strongarm struts, WAY better than stock- I've had em' for a little over a year now and my hatch can still deliver a mean uppercut. And yea, cheaper on Rock Auto.

I like my explorer ones. (like from an explorer) Have to drill a hole in the top mount and use a bolt but not hard to do. Got them at a junkyard for 5$. Extended they're a bit longer than stockers but I like it as it gives me more room but doesn't open it enough where anything rubs

Replace both of my struts this fall, with AutoZone brand which was close to on-line price plus shipping. Problem I came across- After installing the one side kept poping off the top ball stud every few days when opening the rear hatch. Returned for replacement figuring the wire clip was defective. The replacement unit also started poping off the stud later that week. Solution- After looking close at both sides, how they were mounting- The plastic trim panel was preventing the strut clip from fully mounting to the ball stud mounted at the top of the hatch. When I opened the hatch I could see the top of the strut just touch the plastic and the clip would release from the mounting stud. I took a knife and trimmed the plastic around the stud, NOT much needed to be removed, and I have not had the strut fail in 5 months now.
