What us this hose for? I have looked in my reference material and not found what this lower hose is for. Location: passenger fire wall, lower hose. It has been capped and wondering if it us important.

If you are talking about the hose right above the frame rail-- That is the drain for condensation that is created when you run the A.C.

Yeah, that little tube that goes to no where is the A/C condensation drain tube.

depends. Is it a real cap, or a one-way valve (used a lot on vent hoses in jeeps)?

You don't want it to be plugged up as it's job is to allow water to drain out of the hvac as condensation builds while using the air conditioner.

Usually its crimped on the end but not closed completely. squeeze the tip and it will usually open. just make sure it's not clogged or the water will build up and drip inside on the passenger side.

Took a break from electrical dilemma and rechecked this hose. You are correct, it is not a plug, but some kind of valve thingy. The piece has a slit at the end. Thanks
