whATS THAT GIZMO?

I have a 92 and was wondering if any body new what that gizmo is under the hood on the drivers side fender near the top about a foot away from the fire wall with two wires connected to it?

it's the fuel pump resistor as mentioned above. Theres nothing else there with 2 wires going to it. Dont mess with it unless your pump is acting up is my advice.

It is the fuel pump resistor.
And it is ALMOST exactly like the ballast resistors from the old Mopars.
I believe there is a resistence difference.
AND 2X on the dont mess with it.

Yes turns out that it is a ballister resister that is for the fuel pump.to all that said that ,your wright.my jeep would start but die after a few seconds.and that what it was, i was told to check it by unhooking the wires and connect them together and if it stays running thats your problem.thank all
