What's the best brand of cam sensor
I just installed a new 4.7l stroker and my can synchronizer is ticking like it's worn out and it threw the p1391 code. I did set it perfect at zero with my scan tool but I don't want any issues. V in looking for a replacement but not sure what brands are junk. Any input is much appreciated. I did search but only found people asking how to install it help diag but no for sure God results from a brand
School of thought pretty much is to use Mopar sensors whenever possible.
You don't say what year your Jeep is and for older ones that is sometimes not an option due to them being N/A.
Not that I have ever used them but being retired out of a Napa Echlin line ones I would use if available.
Just cause it is easy for me.
My second, cause I have read that NTK for some sensors might be true, would be NTK.

Sorry it's a 2000 xj. I was even trying to figure out who was making them for jeep at that time so I could get it from the supplier I know that some manufacturers make them for oe and are reboxed to be sold in parts stores I've been a tech for 22 years and never cared about where the parts came from as long as they worked. I've only had issues with autozone stuff over the years. Now that it's my rig, I've invested so much time and money and will be out in the middle of nowhere camping alone I need peace of mind lol

What I ordered from Amazon for my '00.
Unfortunately it is not available from them at this time.
And one of the reasons I ordered. Cause sometime back I decided to start hoarding Mopar sensors thinking at some point they would all be N/A.
Now I believe it to be a Mopar part in the Mopar box. But if it is the right part I will not know 100% until if and when I need it.
LOL.
Also seem to be N/A every where I saw when I Googled the part number.
But I did see an NTK one at RockAuto.
Just double check the part number I posted.
I was able to find that however I do need the whole thing as in the synchronizer. That part buffet is just the cam sensor. I did see a Delphi on rockauto for that part number also the ntk. In a perfect world I would have installed brand new oem sensors all over that motor while putting it together. I'll keep looking and share my findings just in case anybody is in the same boat one day.
