I dunno about XJ's, but GM has done something right, with their LSx and truck motors that have the COP. Damn Mopar..

I have had several Ford's with 5.4L engines and COP's...they are great...UNTIL...you wash your engine...and then if any of the COP's have hairline cracks or water gets past the boot seal...you will be buying a new one! So you live with a dirty looking engine bay....and the cops work forever.

X 2, my 01 Ford Expedition 5.4 had the COP ignition and it was great. No problems with it......Now, changing plugs....That was a different story. ROYAL PITA!!!
