Default What transmision fluid to use

I have a 1995 RHD Cherokee 4.0 L automatic, I'm confused on what ATF to use, the owners manual says to use Dextron/Mercon , I also have the RHD supplement manual and it says to use ATF+.

Dex/Merc compatible is what you want with the AW4 transmission. Widely available.

It is what is spec'd by Asin Warner, the manufacturer of the transmission.

X2, for no particular reason other than its readily available and makes me feel better compared to buying the parts store brand.

AW4 is not a dodge trans, do not use atf+4 in it.
dexron3 is what it needs, a good dex/merc like the valvoline mentioned above is good choice. If you want to splurge, dump in the new dexron6, but honestly, your AW4 will serve you well with good clean simple dex/merc.
