It's hot. Lot of vapor buildup in the tank that has to escape, thereby activating the hose nozzle cutoff. Be glad it's working.

The Mr. Fusion assembly is supposed to be mounted in back. No wonder it's making noise.

It should not be ticking so loud. I can barely hear mine with the hood open and looking directly at it.

It seems to be luck of the draw. Some new ones are quite noisy.
