On a more serious note...is that where it's supposed to go? What if I get an aftermarket bumper..where can i put it?

Yes that is where it comes placed factory. You should just be able to mount it anywhere inside the engine bay you can find a spot. Right now mine is just kind of just stuffed up inside the bumper because it broke off at some point.

Sooner or later I will get around to re-mounting it somewhere.
