Basically a 1 foot long piece of metal or steel that sticks out a foot in the front horizontally. It looked like it had rubber on the end.

sounds like what the hwy patrol use to have on there cars for pushing dead vehicles of the road

No idea what you're talking about but I can sure picture something on the front of my XJ to move the hybrids out of the way.

I don't think they were for a plow. Nobody knows so maybe they are custom.

you shouldn't people don't usually leave the bracket in
i only knew cus I looked at them for my jeep so I could tow it behind my motor home
