Default What size nut?

I had to put the project on hold for a little while so I could deal with some here and there nonsense but I'm back at it now. I had to grind a hole in the bottom of the front spring perch since I determined that the welded nut in there was spinning. Biggest I've got here is a 3/4 and that's too small to fit on the nut. It's a long ride for me to get to town so I want to be sure I get the right thing. Any of you guys that have had to deal with this able to chime in on what size wrench I need to get for that nut? Thanks, folks!

Which nut are you talking about? Do you have a pic? The nut for the trac bar?

I don't have a pic at the moment, but It's the nut for the backside of the front leaf spring bolt. The one you aren't supposed to be able to get to. I read on here that sometimes that nut will break its weld and you have to grind a hole in the bottom side of that thing enough to get a wrench in there to be able to get at the nut.

Actually, in poking around trying to find the answer, I found the issue addressed in this thread: https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/sna...-remove-18938/

You got to the nut through the top, I have the hole cut in the bottom...

Ah that one... Ya I went at it from the top. And its a 21 I think. But I could never get the wrench in there and ended up cutting the bolt near that side and just pulling the nut out and replacing the whole bolt and nut with Grade 8 ones from Tractor Supply.

Nope, a 21 was too small. I've searched the internet high and low and can't, for the life of me, find the size of that nut. It's driving me crazy! I've really been struggling trying to to get this thing done without one broken or cut bolt but it's really looking like it's just not in the cards.

Ya, 10 out of the 12 times I have removed those bolts I have had to cut them. Best of luck!
