My spouse picked this up underneath her 2001 Cherokee XJ between the front tires. Just wondering where it belongs. Thank you.

It makes me think of those motor mount inserts. But I think it is too small for that.

I'm at a loss here. It could be some random peice of road junk.

Not sure I've ever seen something like that. From it's shape, maybe something inside the front bumper?

I did look through the 2001 parts catalog, but didn't see anything that looked like that (although the diagrams are not that detailed).

Are you even sure it's from your XJ?

The only thing I can think of is the rubbery insert that lives inside the bumper guards, or whatever they are called. Does it fit nicely over the contour of the metal bumper?

If that's what it is I'm not sure how it would have escaped.

I'm voting for someone else's road trash

That's not from your XJ... The 5MPH crash protection is more like a large cell foam than what you've got there..

Well, I don't make the "rules" here, but protocol suggest that unless you're going to respond to someone that's already posted here or help Dibbons, you should start a new thread with your issue/question.

Welcome to the forum. Don't forget to post details of your XJ like year, engine, transmission, etc along with details and what, if anything, you've already done.
