If you look closely on that rubber plug, it pry has the dana/spicer logo on it.
Chrysler 8.25s have a flat spot on the bottom

d35 or chry 8.25?

The d35 is known to be weak, 8.25 is always said to be better.

its a 98 cherokee classic xj it has the 8.25 but i dont know what kind of front though.

dana 30 was the only front diff offered afaik

I must not of seen the flat spot on the rear diff because of the angle you took the picture...
