Default What questions to ask when buying a used cylinder head?

I need to replace my cylinder head and I am looking to buy a used TUPY 0331 head. What questions should I ask to get the best cylinder head? I am concerned about the valves (should I be?), but there may be other concerns I am not even thinking of. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Do a search on here. If Im not mistaken, supposedly the 0331 heads are prone to cracks. Can anyone verify?

The TUPY head is not the same as the 0331 head, as the original poster wonders.

Take a magnifying glass and a good strong LED flashlight to examine the head for cracks as best as you can.

As in all things, ultimately it is "buyer beware". A used head is always a crap shoot.
