Arrow What is this part called?

Photos Added below.

I was trying to remove the u-joint on the passenger side front and bent the piece that the u-joint connects to, so now I need a new one. The part is behind the hub assembly and the hub assembly attaches it. The u-joint also attaches to it and it is not the axle shaft, it is the other part.

I need a name so I can get one.

Thanks,
qualm

I'm guessing you mean the outer axle shaft?

Yes that looks like the part. I am not sure what one to get though. I have a 1999 Cherokee and it uses the old style hub assembly, Timken 513084.

Without having been there (yet), on mine, I'd think you might want to just grab a whole axle at the JY. You might end up with some good spare U-Joints! I think they might be the same as on the drive-lines on mine btw.

Oh, and some heat really goes along ways pressing those caps in and out. Night and day.

Both ABS and Non-ABS rigs use the same shaft.
The dust shields or Tone-Ring are removable.

So in a 1999 Cherokee, with no ABS, it is a 27 spline 6.11" correct?

Pretty easy. I was using a hydraulic press, to press the u-joints out. The u-joint was stuck pretty good, I had a socket on the underside to press into. I started pressing, then BAM bent shaft . I thought it was the u-joint letting go, but nope.

So is it a 27 spline 6.11"?
