So I bought a 2000 xj Saturday and this was in the center console and was wandering what it was thanks in advance

I hate when I find parts like that in glove boxes. Usually tells me there's a problem that hasn't been troubleshot yet. Like a bunch of fuses that match that burnt fuse you haven't found yet.

It could be as simple as somebody replaced it in the parking lot of the local parts retailer and threw the old one in the glove box "just in case". Jeez guys, don't frighten the newbie with worst case scenarios!

Ahhh, but it wasn't in the glove box, it was in the center console!
