Default What motor do I have
I bought a 78 jeep cherokee chief s wide track. And I'm wondering if it had a 401 or 360. It has a 4 barrel carb on it. Can some one help please

This forum is more for the XJ style Cherokee. You have the Full size jeep Cherokee. Post up some pics some one may be able to help you. And it is always nice to see an old Cherokee. You could try to also do a search on the vin number and see what that turns up.

The number of cubic inches is embossed on the side of the block.
