TPS is a Throttle Position Sensor. It tells the engine computer (ECU)and transmission computer (TCU)the position of the throttle.
The MAP is a Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor. It sends a signal to the ECU as to the barometric pressure in the intake manifold so the eCU can calculate the load that's on the engine.
