Neither.

It looks like a XJ interior, but what year is it?

I want to say it is a NP207.

I meant to say 207 instead of 241. I was think it was one of the to because those are the only 3 TC case that came in a xj want it(the 231, 242 ,& 207)?

With that shift pattern and Selec Trac on console it would be the NP228 or NP229 used 84 to 87.

The 228/229 used 2 controls for the tc. A vac control lever for 2wd - 4wd, and a lever for 4lo - 4hi.

NP228

The NP228 had a direct-drive 2wd mode. It used an internal, open differential for four-wheel-drive mode and high range and featured a fully locked mode in four-wheel-drive, low range. It featured vacuum actuation for mode operation and a conventional shifter linkage for range operation. This transfer case was used in the XJ Cherokees as the optional in lieu of the np207

228 or 208
its not one that you would want to swap into a cherokee
it a full time TC

look in the glove box it probly has a switch in there for a locker

the wagoner was a good 4x4 after you locked every thing
