What Gear Ratios???

Do you hear banjos?
Genuine Gear is OK too. 4.10s would be a waste of time, IMHO. Go with 4.56s, and then you should be fine. The chart Steph put up shows 4.10s to be right in the sweet spot for 33s, but that doesn't take into consideration the loss of aero dynamics when lifting an XJ, and the added weight of the larger tires you plan on running, plus spare parts, tools, Hi Lift...get the picture? 4.56s aren't that big of a jump, but it will give you a little more power when you need it. Another tid-bit folks forget about is the fact that the deeper your gearing is, the easier all of this wheeling is on your drivetrain. Basically, from the ring and pinion forward, everything will be working less hard to push your junk around.

Highway driving gets very old with 4.56 gears. 4.10's with 33" tires gives you, basically, stock gearing and you have low range for off-road. It's a good compromise if you are spending even 50% of your time on the road. Low range with an automatic - it is pretty hard to find something you can't handle.
And we haven't even mentioned tire choice. I would argue, for example, that 31" Pro Comp Muds are better than 33" GY RT/S in every off-road situation you could imagine. I would argue that 31" 10.50's are better than 33" 12.50's in snow. And tire noise drives me nuts...so I run RT/S tires even though they stink off-road. It is a compromise I can live with (until I get stuck in the mud).
The choices and talking points on all this stuff are endless but, in the end, most people I know that use their rigs for daily driving spend 90%+ of their time on roads. Gearing up for the 10% useage element does not work for me. I set up for the driving I really do and don't kid myself that I'll be hauling my XJ to Tennessee for a weekend of rock crawling. If that does happen, I'll buy a winch...
