I won't show you in the manuals for most mass produced vehicles. First because most people wouldn't do it, second because the axles come to ford done and ready to assenble on vehicle from axle mfg, and they have set it up and pre run it!

LOL!!! OK! That's why there's already a "wear pattern" on the gears, right?

They set then up at the axle mfg, and pre run them on a dyno, have seen it with my two beady eyes.

Also, it's hard enough to get the general public to understand changing the engine oil, let alone differential lubes!

Alright...have fun changin' that messy smelly crap for nothing, then. The internet never lies. I'll stick to dumpin' in cheap WalMart stuff and never changing it again...like most sensible folk do.

Did your R&P mfg not suggest this on the instructions? If not, then yes set it up check wear pattern, fill with lube and go, if they did, do what they say so you won't be SOL. No one is saying you have to what so ever, no one can force you to do anything, but you might wanna do what a mfg of a part says, they know the parts they make.
