Default what $$$ to expect for a D30

I am on the verge of ordering JK D44's, and was wondering if I could recoup some of the cost. What do yall think I could get for my D30/D44

HP30 4.56/lockright/4340 yukon inner/outer/diff guard/alloy outer axle seals. 2 sets of spare 297 shafts complete.

87 XJ D44 4.56/full spool/arb diff cover

the D30 pinion gear is slighty damaged, got a little shaved when I broke the center shaft in the carrier,... but still runs good havent had any problems with it, even after wheeling in Hot Springs.

Try searching your local craigslist and see what you come up with. I would start somewhere around 700 for the set and see what happens.

It seems like your front end is pretty well built up. Why go for 44's when the only real upgrade you'll get is a bigger R&P? If I were you, I'd go 60's for sure.

Anyways, considering how much I paid between swapping in a 4.10 geared 8.8, and getting a HP30 geared to 4.10's + labor on the gear install and nice fresh parts, I'd say your combo(which is much better than mine would be worth about $700-$800. I'd pay that.

Price range of $700-800 seems about right. BTW pretty stout D30!

Why jk44's well HP, bigger ring/pinion, bigger housing, 30 spline inner/32 outters./ rear is 32 spline/ locked up front and rear with disks all around. The ujoints are bigger, but use a 760 cap?..(i read that somewhere)

I dont plan on going any bigger than my current 36" or maybe a 37" tire

compared to the 27 spline D30

I sold my D30HP lockrite 4.10s 2.97 shafts, new brakes, XJ steering, Alloy axle seals AND my 29 spline 8.25 4.10s, ZJ disc brake setup With helping on the install for $1200 last summer.

I was figuring about $200 for labor and $1k for the axles. They were fresh built and then I put in a stroker and decided to go bigger.

Current setup is D44HP trussed with alloy shafts and detroit. Rear D60 with detroit with 4.88s.

For those saying to go D60 front. My take is this. It isn't worth the money for what strength you get. For 800-1000 for a housing alone compared to $150 for a HPd44 just doesn't make sense. Why pay 1k and then add another 4-5k in parts to build.

Built my 44 for 2500 bucks. Half price and can rebuild it a few times if needed

Anyone know if any of the brackets line up on the jk to XJ swap. I was reading peterson's mag. and they did a swap into a ZJ, and they stated the lower arm mounts lined up?

The arm mounts lines up, but the coil/shock buckets need to be moved inward.
