Alright guys, Im gonna try and explain everything as best I can. Today my Jeep started having what I think is a suspension issue. When I turn left or right, I can feel a slight popping sensation below my feet. Also, when I go to brake and get below 25 mph, I can feel a popping sensation there as well. Like, if I am going 15 mph and push the brake, near the end of the stop I will feel a popping. It isn't so much a noise as a feeling. You can slightly hear it, but not so much. And when I am driving straight, nothing. No popping, nothing. All the suspension parts and brushings are stock OEM (21 years old), so it wouldn't surprise if something has finally just given up the ghost. What do ya'll think it is? For some reason I think front sway bar, but Idk.

Also, I have noticed when I shut my Jeep off, sometimes I will get a noticable "Pop" from what seems like the middle of the vehicle. It doesn't do it everytime though.

In regards to the above info, I have recently replaced my transmission mount. I tightened the 2 bolts that connect the mount to the Tcase to spec with thread lock, and tightened the nuts on the 4 studs of the mount tight. However, one of my friends broke one of the bolts that holds the crossmember to the body. After failed attempts to extract the bolt, I finally drilled and tapped a new hole beside (with about 3/16" between) the old hole and tightened everything down. The crossmember has no play in it; meaning I can get down and pull on it, and nothing will move in any direction.

Thanks for the help guys!

Another note. When I reassembled the transmission mount and crossmember, the transmission sat a little higher than before. I assumed this was because the old mount was so old and worn that it had allowed the transmission to just sag down.

Also, when going down the highway or anywhere at speed, there is no wobble. I-81 going 70+ mph and no wobble. This rules out balljoints, right?

I'm gonna pull it up tomorrow morning and see if anything has slop. Any suggestions for what to look for?

i know my upper control arm on the driver side did that forever, same feeling and noise, and since its literally almost right where your feet go i felt it every time, the nut on the axle side was loose someehow so it had like a half inch of play so the arm moved whenever i hit the gas or turned and made the noise

either one or more of your control arm bushings are shot, or your trackbar bushing(s) are shot. Have someone turn the wheel side to side while you watch what happens at each joint. If you see movement, you've found the bad joint.
