i have 33''X12.50X15 interco truxus on mine and they are great. i bought the tires used with half tread on them and i love them. really quiet on the road, but can handle everything you can throw at them. just last night i went wheeling in 10 inches of snow, 1 foot of icey mud, and rocks all at the same time and the tires never complained and had traction all the time.

The tires I am considering for new 32" tires..
Maxxis Bighorns
ProComp MT's
Cooper STT

I am leaning more towards the Maxis Bighorns atm..

A few of my friends have had good success with ST's and STT's. The Dunlop Mudrovers are my top pick for their price.

I am extremely please w/how my STT's perform in every application that I've thrown at them and are extremely road frienly IMO. They are wearing quite well and I expect 40-50,000 mi out of them maybe more. I researched for quite a bit before biting the bullet and throwing them on, the only thing I was questioning was there longevity and found this thread on another forum that was very reassuring http://www.tacomaterritory.com/forum...stpost&t=21987

there is no mud terrain that is "OMG SO MUCH BETTER THAN OTHERS MUST BUY"

they all perform decent, none are a trillion times better than others.

Thumbs up

If you want a mud tire look up a Super Swamper Bogger.
Now to join the club...
I run Kumho road venture mud terrains.. a little loud on the road but i like that, make it through a lot more than my friends with all terrains, but a lot less than my friends cherokee with swamper tsl's.
Edit: heres a pic.

Which version of the kumho mudder do you run? the new one or the old one? I loved the old tread design. It was similar to bfg's and that tire simply ROCKED! I have no idea why they changed the tread design when this one worked so well.

the best? as in money is no object?

well then,
maxxis creepy crawlers
nitto mud grapplers
pitbull rockers
super swamper tsl or irok
procomp x terrain or extreme mt
bfg krawler

that's what everyone around here runs anyway. with the superswampers being the most popular mud tire. and here, in ontario, there's no shortage of mud, slippery rocks and roots.

oh, and on my rigs, i have 33 inch destinations, 33 inch trxus and 36 inch iroks.

throw anything but mud into the picture (even a muddy slight incline) and the tsl's are a terrible tire.

i also ran x terrains and hated those too.

like the creepy crawlers and iroks though

Here's a pic of mine with 31" Cooper STT's. They ride great and are not very loud. A buddy of mine has BFG M/T's which are much louder, and don't look as good imo. I can't say much about mileage because I only have about 2-3K on them.

Mickey Thompson MTZ 31X10.5 Best tire ever! I've had bfg M/Ts and Mickey Thompson tires beat them easily.

Cooper STT's - Shop for a good price and sipe if you are going to run into ice. Great tires with strong sidewalls.

If you want a pure mud tire, then try a set of small tractor tread tires. They come in sizes that will easily fit a jeep. If you want DOT legal tires try Super Swamper bias ply TSL or Boggers. A cheaper option is a Buckshot Mudder, NOT the Maxxis radial junk, but the original bias ply Buckshot. Co-Op Grip Spurs are nearly the same tread as the bias Buckshot and they are a little cheaper than Buckshots sometimes but hard to find. I'm listing these tires from experience in playing in deep mud with them myself or watching these tires in action in deep mud. These tires have pretty bad road manners though. They're loud, ride rough and don't last on pavement, but that's not what they are made for.
