i work at a tire shop that sells dayton. they don't make dayton timberline mt's anymore. i highly recommend mastercraft courser mt's. same pattern as bfg and pro comp. yet much cheaper!

One more for the Swampers, I have had nearly evrything out there at one time or another,BFG KO and KM, Maxxis Mudzilla, Cooper STT, Swamper TSL, Buckshots, Bighorns, Hankook RT01, Big O Big Foot, Open Country STX, and on and on, and its Swampers for serious off road or Toyo Mud terrains for street and still good off-road for me. Got about 25k out of the last swampers and over 40k out of the Toyo's behind 700ftlbs of Deisel torque

Default tires

You can ask who ever you want and they will say all different things. the only way is to do research on them and see which ones fit what you like and need all the tires they have told you are good tires i personaly like super swampers tsl and thornbird but its what you need that rig to do for uand a price range but no wranglers they are loud and burn up real quick

I believe that the Firestone Destination M/T is the same tread pattern as the Timberline M/T

I would say go with some treadwrights, especially if $$$ is an issue.

Best mud tires hands down silverstone mt117 extreme and simex extreme trekker. the silverstones are slightly better due to wider lug spacing, but the compound is softer and the actual sizes are a little smaller (around 0.5" depending on the tyre size).

both are terrible on the road though, and terrible in sand (they dig down) good in general off road conditions although I imagine maybe not that great on pure rocks.

Next would be super swampers, the old SAT military style tyres and the old pattern kumho M/T tires with the small centre lugs (when new).

but again this is in the MUD. In sand and rocks, other styles would be better.

simex

I have 33"x10.5 Interco TSL's half warn and they are great. havent had a real chance to do anything with them but they drive nice on the road
