It sure what I'm possibly looking at here. Oil seems to be coming out of multiple places on the engine block. Can anyone suggest possible issues that would cause this based on my pictures?

You are looking at a perfectly normal 4.0L inline 6 from Jeep. I wouldn't recognize mine if it weren't covered in a thick coating of oil, LOL. The leak behind the pulley (which is actually your harmonic balancer) appears to be a leaky front main seal, replacement requires yanking the pulley using a harmonic balancer puller rented at most big box auto parts stores. It also looks like your oil pan gasket has sprung a leak, fairly common issue. It's usually advisable to replace your oil pump when you replace the gasket because its a PITA to get the pan out and you only want to have to do it once. The rest look like normal Jeep leaks, you could spend a lifetime trying to stop them all and if you did, you'd be the most famous Jeep mechanic in the history of the brand

You've got some oil leaks there buddy. Nothing to be alarmed of, all fixable if you're willing to give your jeep the love she deserves. Starting at the top, working your way down, you should replace the CCV grommets, then valve cover gasket, then the oil pressure sending unit and oil filter adaptor, then the oil pan and rear main seal. Like F1 said, I'd also recommend doing the oil pump while you have the pan off, for reassurance, since getting the pan off can be a major pain. There are a ton of good write ups on here to do all of these procedures.

And that oil pan looks like it has a paper or cork gasket on it. No bueno. Go rubber if you are going to be tackling these jobs yourself. ALWAYS use a rubber... gasket.

Thanks guys. I knew there was a good reason why I joined this forum, because there's no other place I can talk with like minded individuals that love there Jeep as much as I do.

I'll get all those parts and pull up the How To's as well. Can't wait to get started! I love working on my Jeep.

By the way, any of you know any fine individuals around the Chicagoland area that know how to weld? I need someone to weld my pre runner bars to the custom bumper I got from L&L Fabs. I haven't learnt that trick yet, and however much I want to learn a new trick, I'd like to get this done sooner rather than later.

Thanks again!

Looks like the pan gasket, cam sensor gasket, and oil filter adaptor oring are leaking, along with the transmission cooler line.

Alright guys I am planning on doing it all myself but need the part numbers for many of the issues I will be tackling.

I was able to find the following on my own:

Fel-Pro OS34308R Oil Pan Gasket Set
Fel-Pro BS40612 Bearing Set
Meiling M167HVS Oil Pump Jeep 87-95 (screen included)

Not sure or unable to find part numbers for the Main Front Seal (is this one in the same as the Rear Main Seal, if so then which seal is behind the Harmonic Dampener?), Oil Filter Adaptor O-Ring, Cam Sensor Gasket (Is this the Timing Cover Gasket?).

1996SportXJ - I have already replaced CCV Grommets, Valve Cover Gasket (although I did not tighten to spec. honestly not sure what that should be.) and replaced the Oil Pressure Sending Unit all within the last year. Not sure if I took care of the Oil Filter Adaptor so might as well do it again just in case I didn't the first time.

Thanks guys!
