i maybe wrong but it looks like the plug for the o2 sensor. is your o2 hooked up?

it is the vacume plug that connects to #37 the transfer case vacuum switch

No, those glow and spin REALLY fast.

I think o2 sensors only have 2 or 3 wires not 4. I have no idea what it could be.

It plugs into the transfer case right by the speedo cable, but the picture's cutting it out on top. Mine's vacuum controlled on my NP231.

It looks like the vacume switch for the front disconnect. What year is it?

Damn I did not think of that! If its a 90 xj it is the vacume disconnect then. The switch should be on the front above the shifter.

Thats a very clean t-case! And yeah, its for the vacuum disconnect
