Default were does this go? pics

ok so i was cleaning my jeep today and noticed a wire that's not hooked up to any thing and it looks like a important wire to me .after seeing that i seen a little red button right behind the hood latch not to sure what it does or if its factory so i did not press it ,by the way this is under the driver side dash and its a 1992 Cherokee sport

Thats the `Valet`switch for your remote starter or your aftermarket burgler alarm.

Trace the wire and see where it goes on the other side of the firewall, it looks like something added by the guy(s) that had it before. The switch is a vallet switch for an old car alarm.
