Weird squeal after belt change, possible fan problem?
I recently put a new belt on because the old one was shot and i made sure i tightened it good. but now i have this awful squeal every time i start it up and it seems it could be coming from one of three places.. the belt, the alternator or the fan. Can anyone help?

Moved to OEM Tech, not advanced.
And yeah, the belts on 4.0L seem to need time to stretch a little, try re-tightening little by little.

Had the same problem. Guess I accidentally got some grease on the belt when I was installing my headers and tightened the tensioner a bit more and the squeal went away.
