Looks like a build sheet. I thought people usually found them under the back seat.

Thats what I thought! It was inside the leather in the door. I took it off to install my new window and it fell out lol. All the info is very uninformative its all just numbers and the description has nothing in it.

Finding a build sheet is like buried treasure. Hang onto it. Keep it safe.

I believe that's some ancient Cherokee birth certificate.

The hole in the birth certificate is puzzling, an arrow hole perhaps? I am sure this ancient document has a fascinating history to tell, a fly on the wall, in the door for all these decades, present for every word uttered in the jeep. A frightening thought.

It could be a hole from the window crank if the truck had manual windows.

You are lucky, there was only a small piece of mine left behind the driver door panel when I got mine. If you ever decide to sell your truck, pick up a cheap frame from the dollar store / craft store and stick it in there. Collectors go crazy for that kind of stuff.

I was talking to my father-in-law about this paper. He said to get it professionally copied and that they may be able to fix that hole. He has a 65 fastback mustang that has been in his family since it was brand new and he has a copy of the certificate as well as the original framed in the back seat. Said someone offered him a couple of grand *for just the certificated* one time and he laughed at him and said he would only sell it for 10,000 lol I thought that was pretty ballsy.

Cool find, Mopar has been producing the multi-colored build sheets for over 50 years now..The sheet helped the assembly line workers pick the part required for the vehicle.. Generally those numbers are the last digits of the part number needed for assembly..You could easily find multiple sheets in one vehicle depending on the line worker... Most mopar muscle car era build sheets have imperfections from where they were found.. Rusty spring marks from the back seat frame.. Tape on it from getting stuck to the glove box housing, even undercoating/sealer from being thrown under the carpet..So leave the hole it adds authenticity to the sheet..
I haven't disassembled my cherokee yet to discover one of those but I do have the factory computer print out that has those codes and a description of what it means..It's a long sheet !!
Here's a rough one from a road runner for your entertainment..I've got a multi-colored one and a black/white from my 70 Cuda

I personally would not offer that much for just the build sheet, however I could see the build sheet adding a grand to the price of a restored car. Some guys who would park the car in the garage would love nothing more than to hand a framed build sheet on the wall next to it.

(I am not going to talk, I have the window stickers to almost all of my vehicles framed).
