weird noise coming from gas tank while offroading
i have a 1990 xj and lately when i have been offroading 20 mins after i start, a loud humming noise comes from my gas tank. is it the fuel pump or what? really need help cuz its driving me crazy! thanks

Definitely sounds like fuel pump from your description. Could very well be that while offroading you dislodge some crud in thew bottom of the tank and the pump tries to suck it up, hence the whining/humming.
