I have a 91 XJ 4.0, and it has a weird stalling issue. it’ll start up cold and idle fine for 15 minutes if not more, i’ll drive it for some time and then if i hit the brake to stop at a light it’ll stall or occasionally when i come on the gas after coasting. I’ve cleaned the iac, replaced the tps, crank sensor. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

Max,

While I'd like to say I have a fix, I don't. In fact, this is the most annoying issue I have with my 2001 XJ Cherokee Sport. I have changed the TPS, Camshaft sensor, and the Crankshaft sensor as well. I have 'reset' PCM according to some ancient battery cable, headlight, key ritual to no avail.

Definitely need an answer. Need this issue resolved. Throwing no codes when it stalls either.

As it turns out i think the problem ended up being related to my fuel filter being clogged, it was the one filter i didn’t replace on the jeep after i bought it. Hope this might help you out some.
