Unhappy Need Help! Start up issue

some mornings when i start up my cherokee it revs the RPMs up to 3000 and stays there for awhile or so. i can take my foot off the gas and it will accelerate up to 45 miles an hour and idle there. when i brake it tries to push through the brake and keep going.

it seems to go back to normal after i let it do that for 5-10 minutes.

is it temperature sensor issue? i really have no idea.

i seems to happen most often on cold rainy mornings, but it's not specific to that either.

thanks for the help!

It sounds like the TPS (throttle position sensor) may be getting wet or is going bad...Tj
