I meant i couldn't get the tire OFF the wheel. I had my hi-jack pushing down right next to the tire bead, using the rear of the xj as weight. The tire lifted the xj off the ground and the bead held. I could NOT get them off.

let all the air out put soapy water on the bead take a heavy suv or truck and drive on the side of the tire and pull on the rim then back off slowly thats how i push my bead down when my valve stem broke. and works just be careful not to damage the tire. but that should work

thats why you have to be careful and have some one watching with you. i work as a tire tech. and if your really careful you shouldn't tear it unless one the tire is dry rotted.

and let me re say what i meant about driving on it. drive like across its sidewall trying to miss the rim. so you can do a hole side at a time
