Hi guys sorry about the really dumb question but I'm looking at buying another Cherokee as my girlfriend wants to drive the one i have now. I'm looking at buying a 96' Jeep Cherokee sport, 2dr, 5spd, 4x4. I dont know which transfer case it has though. My current jeep has select trac but this other one looks like command trac although the option for 4wd all the time is on it but not part time. My question is how do I determine if it came with a factory tow package or if the guy just added a trailer hitch after. I really want LSD in my next Jeep is all. Thanks guys,

if you are asking because of lsd i can tell you that not all that had the factory tow option came with the lsd cause when i got my build sheet it factory tow option all over it but nothing about an lsd. but the best way to find out if it came stock with a factory hitch is to get the vin and email chrysler askin for a build sheet so you kno what it came with and what it didnt

X2 my factory tow package did not some with a LSD. However it did come with 3.73's.

I normally just look for the factory hitch to see if the XJ had the factory tow package.
