water leaking into floor pan

Default water leaking into floor pan

alright their is water leaking inside of my jeep. i know the windshieldgasket was leaking, had it resealed 1 week ago. are their other spots upfront that are known for leaking around the dash?? i know i have a leaking door gasket, but their is another issue. i have my carpet out and the black piece of rubber under neath the dash is wet under neath on both sides. thanks!

There is no windshield gasket are you talking about the molding? If water leaked past the glass seat long enough it's rusted right through. Only fix is to remove the windshield, repair the damage, and reseat the glass.

i wqas talking about the sealant, and they said that it does have some rust, but not very bad.

I've got to check this out on mine. I've been chasing water leaks for quite awhile now. I removed the roof rack rails and siliconed the nutserts, that helped some. I went around under the hood at the top of the firewall and sealed some spots, it got better, but I still get water inside when it rains hard.

So this is the next step. It makes sense:

mine was leaking on the passenger side underneath the ac compressor....I just caulked the low parts and it is all good

it only happens whenever it rains, when i do run the a/c i can see the condensation coming out of the drain on to the ground.

probably your cowl fresh air intake. mine leaks too. it gets worse if i'm parked nose uphill.

bumping up an older thread..

Check your blower motor seal around the firewall near the front passenger foot well.
Its a very common leak

Mine was leaking for so long in my 2000 that my floor pans were rusted enough to have several holes.
Hope you save yours before then
