Default warm weather

What should i do to keep it cool this summer i had trouble during the winter.
here are things i have done
1. new t-stat 160 degree
2. new cap for my coolant bottle
3. replacing the coolant bottle it is old and busted up
4. made a fan shroud
5. wheel with my hood unlatched
6. going to hook my electric fan to a switch.
7. new lower rad hose

anything i need to do.

btw what gear oil should i use for my d30 front and d44 rear the rear is limited slip.

here is my fan shroud.

ive had some over heating problems in my 88 xj. but i got the 195 t-stat which ive heard a lot of people say is better because the computers require the engine to be around 210 to work right, and i put a new water pump. but i also suspect i have an air bubble in the coolant line some where but it rarely over heats anymore so i dont know what the problem is.

Flush and fill.
Make sure your rad. is clear of debris.
Put your Aux fan on a manual switch.
Make sure you have no leaks or air in the system.

a lower temp t-stat will do nothing but let it run cooler for only a little bit longer.

once its open, its open and will come up to temp anyway.

seeing as you have a renix. if that system isn't perfectly sealed you will have trouble keeping it cool. i would reccomend converting to an open cooling system.

replace fan clutch( like $25)

be sure the radiator is free of mud (blow gun it)

water pumps are fairly cheap for these too.

there is no reason you should be having trouble keeping it cool (210* driving, 225* wheeling is acceptable). but if you get sick of throwing money at it, hood spacers are cheap and effective at getting heat out.

anyone have a write up for open system i hate closed i have two renix and one nonrenix and the one that is not renix does not heat up
i just drove my 88 forthe first time in like a month and just driving around it heated up slowly after about an hour never reached red.
i think the pump is bad it was sqealing after it got hot to were the water pump would work.
back to my trailer rig
so i plan on put a manual swith electric fan in
clutch? why should i replace this the fan works?

they usually are the first thing to wear out in the cooling system. and seeing your jeep is over 19 years old, its probabky a good time to replace it.

park the jeep and give it some throttle, you should hear a 'WHOOSH" sound overpowering every other sound the truck makes. if you get a baby whoosh, replace it.

ya there is no mud but i was wondering if i took the condenser out would that be better for the air to get to the rad to cool the fluid down better.
and the condenser is all banged up it does nothing bc of me hitting trees.
