Anyone got a write up or a link to a page that explains how the hubs engage on the front axle of a 96 cherokee?
I have always had locking hubs on all my vehicles. I'm just trying to understand how it works.

Front driveshaft does not turn unless hubs are locked by the 4 X 4 lever inside. They are engaged by vaccum actuator which is located on the right front axle tube.
I think.
