Default Wanting to die when I hit the gas???????

O.k. I looked through the forum and couldn't find anything related to my problem. Anyway. I have a 1988 Cherokee limited 4.0. when im stopped and hit the gas to take off my jeeps hesitates like it wants to die and then picks up and goes. Doesn't matter if its running cold or at running temp. Any ideas.
Heres what I have replaced lately,
Fuel pump
Fuel filter,
spark plugs,
Plug wires,
Rotor,
Dis. cap,
Vacuum lines,
O2 senser,

Thanks

Any codes? Mine was doing the same....except I had rpms around 2000 when at idle. You might try the Coolant temp sensor. Easy and cheap to replace.

First question.
when I take off easy its runs fine. But it has to be really easy.

Second and third Question
Been running injector cleaner. None of the injectors leak. But ive been thinkin about pulling them out and putting in 703 injectors.

Havent tryed running any codes. I havent had any lights come on but I think my idiot lights dont work. so something else to look into.

I found one of the bolts on the trottle body is stipped. Could I be getting a air or a vacuum leak. The other 2 bolts are tight.

Default Get a voltmeter and learn to use it.

It could be the ignition coil.

Well I did some digging around and found some info. I replaced the MAP sensor. My jeep has improved a bit. I traced the vacum line from the map sensor to the trottle body. The vacuum line that connects to the throttle body is in bad shape. I havent found a replcement line yet to the trottle body. Looks like the previous owner tryed fixing it once before with jb weld. Might try that for now. Any sugjestions or no where I can find that vacuum line I need?

does it do it every time except when babying it. mine is doing the same thing, but intermittent. it will even do it at highway speeds after coasting, occasionally. i have been finding and replacing bad vacuum lines since i got it last dec with small diameter rubber hose, rtv ,and a piece of the ends off the plastic lines if needed. good luck and i hope you fix it. i want to know what is causing it so maybe i can fix mine till the next hiccup.

Rather than trying to buy fittings and peicing your old vacuum lines together here is the link to Napa for the complete vacuum harness.

Simple and quick. took me about 20 minutes to install. the only vacuum line it doesnt have is from the MAP sensor to the throttle body.

Well I finally installed the injectors. WOW!! What a differance. Found out why the jeep has been running bad and acting like it wants to die. The throttle body sensor was not properly installed. Also somehow, some way a BB was stuck in my MAP sensor vacuum line. Still trying to figure that one out. After installing the injectors and a tune up my jeep has a ton more power. I went from 60 mph at 2600 rpms on the freeway to 70 mph at 1900 rpms on the freeway. My fuel milage went up by about 3 miles per gallon.
Here is the site I ordered my injectors from. I recieved them 2 days after ordering. there are a lot of videos on youtube showing the testing of the injectors. For the 84 - 01 XJ's they are on sale for $90 for all 6.

Hope this helps you all out.

found out what was making mine run like crap too, bad gas. guess my wifes uncle put some gas out of his kids ranger gas tank they dropped and replaced into my jeep when he borrowed it to go hunting. didn,t want it to go to waste. after talking to him and cousin, the other cousins ranger runs way better too. just had to run farther than 10 miles and some injector cleaner to fix mine. now on to more mods
