Want to run a direct 12v wire to the blower with a toggle switch.
Can I just run a wire from the battery to a toggle switch to have the blower on high? It's not working, do I need a resistor or inline fuse so it dosen't blow the main fuse? I've checked all associated fuses and they're good.
Thanks for any info.

Outside of the fuses there are some other things to check for if the blower motor does not operate.
1. Fuse
2. Relay
3. Is power actually getting to the blower motor? A DVOM will tell you at the wires.. if power is getting to the blower motor then the blower motor is shot. Or, you can apply external battery power to the blower and see if it works... If it works, it might be relay, fuse, or wiring.
The resistor should allow high settings to work if it is shot.

I was going to say.. if you do not know wether or not the blower motor fan is the problem, without testing it?
If you try to wire in a toggle switch to run the blower, and you find out it was the blower itself.. Then, you would be replacing an inoperable blower for a working one anyways, and you would no longer even need to consider wiring in a toggle switch, since replacing the blower fixes the problem.

On my '96, a "soon to do" project...mount 4 relays adjacent to the speed resistors..this will restore full operation, 1 relay for each speed
