I was hoping to get some help with my 2000 XJ wandering around on the road. Whenever you let off the gas at 55, it pulls to the right. If you are on the brakes, it will pull left and right as you fight it with the steering wheel. I have had it to 2 alignment shops and they say that the toe in is correct. I took it to another mechanic and he said that everything looked good and tight in the front end. I have replaced the steering box(that did help take some slop out of the steering wheel, though it did not fully correct the problem). I have also replaced the steering stabilizer with an OME stabilizer to match the 2 inch OME lift that is on it. It did wander before the lift also. I have 4 brand new tires mounted and balanced on it. I don't know where else to take it or what to tell them to look for. Please help point me in the right direction. Thanks
I had the same problem. After multiple alignments and changing the brake pads, calipers, brake line's and fluid. I found out my master cylinder was going bad. The master cylinder was not releasing the caliper like it should. After I changed it, everything is now working perfectly.

could even be the calipers, when i got mine it pulled to one side, then i hit the brakes and it would pull to the other, i didnt think to much till all of a sudden there was smoke coming out, turned out one of the calipers was seized :P

I found out after light city driving, my brakes on one side were 150 degrees hotter then the other side. The only other part that could be bad was the master cylinder. It was not expensive so I tried it. I love my brakes now. The temp stays about the same now and the petal is stiffer.
