Default Walker downpipe came. Is this a problem.

Got my downpipe from rock auto today. Noticed a little flat spot on the cup. Is this going to cause me issues. Wondering on if I should return it for exchange out not.

It looks like it got smashed or it was dropped and flattened. It shouldn't have a flat spot.

That is pliable steel, I would knock it back into shape and use it. Wooden mallet works good.

Yeah that's nothing to be worried about. Knock it back into shape

What would be the best way to go about doing that? This is new to me.

Like StevwMongr said just tap it back into shape. Just do it a little at a time so you don't bend it to far and stretch the metal.

Why do you think they sell their parts so cheap?

You can go to a muffler shop. They have a cone that they can use to straighten it up for you.

Don't use pliers. You will probably distort the flange and cause leaks you'll never be able to stop.

Lay something round like a piece of pipe inside the cone and pound on that with a beater.

Oh yeAh, make sure the pipe or round object you use is sturdier than the down pipe. I apologize if this is obvious to you.
