Vibration under torque after 10mph - HELP
I have had quite a few lifted jeeps and now have this 2000 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L 4Dr, Auto, 231 Transfercase, Dana 30, Chrysler 8.25. 180K Miles
I bought the Jeep with a blown motor, it has a 3-4" lift with 31" Tires, it has a fairly decent (interior parts rattle) vibration under torque at speeds 10mph up (not brake torque standing still)
I have done the following;
Looking at changing engine mounts now, buddy thinks its the rear axle pinion angle (I have not checked but I think on front driveshaft alone it would have disappeared) .... if the mounts don't fix it my next things is the replacing the TransferCase.
I love Jeeps but this one has been the "Jeep from Hell" !!!!!!
Anyone got any ideas? To say I am frustrated at this point is an understatement, I am not usually a parts changer, but that is what I resorted too as any diagnosing has come to a dead end.
Thanks,
Bryan

I have done the following;
- Tried just front, then just rear driveshafts (Same either way) and tried different driveshafts
- Replaced both front hubs (they were shot)
- Replaced both front axle joints (they were shot)
- Replaced Rear Axle (Carrier Bearings shot, slop in spider gear pin, and ring/pinion seem effected from all the slop - it got rid of some vibrations and a hum I was getting from rear axle)
- Front spider and side gears seemed slightly worn/sloppy so I swapped them out from another Cherokee I have.
- Replaced Transmission Mount (it was torn completely through) it helped muffle it some, but still got vibrations.
- Tried a completely different set of tires (slightly better but stock tires vs. 31's I think was the difference)
- Checked all the front end parts as far as tire rods, ball joints, etc.
- I jacked it up and put it on Jack stands, had vibration still, with no driveshafts it was hard to tell... if there was it nearly disappeared.
