Default Vibration / Clunk

Hey guys so a new vibration started the other day out of nowhere and looking to pinpoint what it is. I have a 2000 Cherokee sport w/ Rubicon Express 3.5 in lift and 31" Duratracs. I have a TC drop kit so its not from there. Definitely somewhere in the driveline because it only happens when I step on the gas and when I coast there is nothing. Also when you go forward to reverse, or vice versa, there is a clunk like something is loose or there is play in something. My mechanic said he thinks it is the CV joint in the front drive shaft. (He isn't the best but a good family friend who does all of our cars and he is cheap, and he hates my jeep because its lifted so he never likes to work on it) I plan on removing the drive shaft early this week and seeing if it goes away. Anyone had a CV joint problem or could point me in the right direction? Thanks

if the vibration started long after the t-case drop, id agree with the above. driveshaft u joint. if it was around the same time as the drop you need a SYE or the driveshaft u-joint straps were bolted down on the joint off-center during reinstallation.
