very squeaky

Default very squeaky

Newbie here with a problem i have a 98 cherokee with a 4.0 and about 140,000 miles on it.And it is squealin me insane.I replaced the idler pully and belt.but no help.It looks like the harmonic balancer is comming apart,out from the motor.I was wondering the best and easiest way to approach this.thanks

Is the belt loose,it should have about a 1/4" to 1/2" deflection when you push down on the belt.
When you say the balancer is coming apart,is it a two peace with a rubber insert,and/or do you mean it is further from the motor than it should be?

Yes it is a two piece balancer and the outer ring is comming toward the radiator probably 3/8 of an inch or so off of the rubber.I borrowed a puller set and removed the balancer this afternoon and was not to bad to do.I will try to post a pic later this week of the balancer after i figure out how.
