Valvoline sythetic okay for my XJ ?

Default Valvoline sythetic okay for my XJ ?

I was just woundering i never had problem before but with systhetic my oil pressure ranged from 20-25 when warmed up and goes to mabie 60 when i going at traffic speeds

i just did an oil change with this oil

Well. Unless you changed weight or put too much it shouldn't be jumping to 60 lbs. But synthetic is ok from what I've heard if. You "A" have always used sythetic or "B" have a brand new engine. Synthetic oil doesn't burn so there won't be any burn off. Plus. Theoreticly should never have to change the oil for that fact of no burn off. Just the filter though I would never ever test this. To be honest though. I think it just a matter of opinion.

I use valvoline high mileage synthetic blend and it works out just fine.

when is cold it has 40 psi when cold at idle. when it warms up it has 25 at idle and 55-60 when im driving. it has 204k on it too so your fine. i put just regular 10w30 in mine

my xj has 160k miles. i dont mess with synthetic since its never been run in it. just running some ole castrol 10w-30.

From what im reading, it sounds like youre fine.
20-25 psi idle, 60 driving, right? That sounds good, my girlfriends 96 gets about the same on dino oil.

I run 10w40 Valvoline Maxlife Synthetic Blend.
My bearings are shot though and get 20psi on the gauge going 55mph.

i jist changed mine usin valvoline max life 10w-30 with a K & N filter....... so far i am very pleased!

mine has around 142k im using the oil couldnt find a link but its the valvoline synthetic that garantees 300,000 miles
